Question by somrita: will getting two masters degree help? or should i look for jobs instead?
I am a final year student of M.Sc mathematics, I was thinking of pursuing M.Sc operations research after this as i feel that would make me more competent(I want to work as an OR analyst), Would this be a wise decision? or should i rather look for jobs or go for an MBA??

get the masters first. it’ll make you stand out in the job applicants. it would give you more knowledge in your career.

i think that you would be better off going on with getting to two masters. But either choice could have a good or bad outcome.
Get a job, are you kidding. Having a 2 masters does not make you more attractive to the work place, as a matter of fact it only raises questions as to why the hell do you have 2 masters and nothing on your resume?
I agree with the above poster somewhat. My reasons are different though, I don’t think the return on your investment in a second Master’s degree will outweigh the costs associated with obtaining that degree. I also think that a MSc in Mathematics is sufficient to find a quality job as an analyst. If the company that hires you suggests/recommends that you go back to school and get an MBA or that second Master’s in OR, then I would – otherwise, just start browsing the market and see what options are available.
look for a job. One master deg is enough for applying any field of urs except faculty jobs in PG colleges. Industry is all about having a good experience behind ur name not degree.
