CPA is not a degree. It is a designation that you receive after you pass the CPA exam. MBA is a masters degree that you receive from a university. You can make plenty of money with either, in some states you need a master’s in accounting to sit for the CPA exam.
A lot of CPAs already have a MBA.
In most states you need at least 150 college hours to be allowed to sit for the CPA exam. Many people obtain the extra hours through a 36 hour MBA program.
