Question by Call me Meg Griffin: What kind of jobs can I get with a Masters In Business Admin, concentration in General Business?
I am opting to get my masters…is it worth it?..I mean it will only take me a year to get it..but still..is it worth it being a black female in the US..would anyone acknowledge the fact that I took the time to pursue higher education?

MBAs from the top schools — e.g. U of Chicago, Harvard, Wharton, Northwestern — are definitely worth the steep cost. When you say, “only about a year”, that implies to me that you are pursuing an MBA from a much less prestigious school. While you may personally gain a lot from such a program, they don’t have the same marketability impact on your career. The “worth” is more questionable. That is, the additional salary you may achieve from your degree may not compensate for the lost time and tuition expense. But if you can get admitted to one of the top 10-20 programs, go for it.

Oh heck yeah! it’s worth it.
MBA’s are the people who become c.e.o.’s
and so get ‘stock options’ and become rich
and maybe even run for political office after a while,
and if not, then at least get to give “contributions” to politicians to get favors
so…rich ….and having power
THATS what an MBA can result in
you get it, and find a company to work your way up in, all the way up
and you know what? you go girl, i know you can do that
