If it’s a good quality MBA, from an AACSB accredited school that has a good reputation in the region where you plan to work, then you can do almost anything. If you did any paid work prior to applying to the MBA program, that can guide you. If you go full time, you can do summer internships as part of your program, and that can also help give you a path.
The best fit may be marketing, or media or arts management, but don’t feel limited by those. If your work experience is in something other than music, you can go in that direction instead, if you choose to.
I have my undergrad in studio art (sculpture). I got my MBA. I work in marketing. When I applied for jobs that were vaguely artsy, I listed my subject area on my resume. When I applied for jobs in less artsy companies/areas, I simply said I had a bachelor’s and left the subject area off. Don’t laugh. It worked.
What job you get after your MBA depends on what sorts of work experience you bring to the table. You can build on that, as well as your Bachelor’s in music, and see where it takes you.
