What is the difference between an executive MBA program and an MBA program?

I am an insurance professional (work as an underwriter) and I would like to go back and get an MBA. I have 4 years of work experience and I am currently working on my CPCU designation. I received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with honors from my local state university. I have yet to take the GMAT, but all of my practice scores have been around 640-650. Could you please tell me the difference between the two and what opportunities they give rise to?
