   my knowledge is that mba is a 2year fulltime course

   IIM’s Executive 1-year MBA is a well-recognized course in the industry. I don’t think it is approved by AICTE but people who have done the course have been placed well because of the IIMs’ reputation. The median salaries, sector-wise split up as well as other relevant data has been provided in the FAQs section by every IIM offering this course.

   Average salary would be somewhere around 20 Lakhs per annum for domestic placements. It is not approved by AICTE

   1. The average salary varies from IIM to IIM and from Year to Year. If you are looking at the average salary for Executive MBAs from IIMs (all IIMs providing Executive MBA are considered here) for Year 2009 (Placement Year), it is Rs 18. 5 Lakhs. Please note that Year 2009 was not a good Placement Year.

   2. Yes, You are very right, the Executive MBA Programs are 1 Year Courses (and are specifically designed for Executives with at least 5 Plus Years of work experience – the present batch of Executive MBA from IIM Calcutta has an average experience of 10 Years ! )

   3. AICTE Approval – These Executive programs are yet to be Approved by AICTE – however this does not matter much in the corporate world as the Three letter word IIM – would give you the Passport / Visa to all Board rooms
