On-line, or distance learning MBa programs are offered by many schools now, some very good ones. they enable students to earn the MBA degree without attending classes. The programs vary so you have to check out each one. some require students to spend some time at the school, such as one weekend each month, or two weeks in each academic year. Others don’t require attendance. some programs include on-line meetings with the professor, some have videotaped lectures. There is a wide variety.
The Official MBA Guide provides a lot of information about the MBA degree and MBA schools and programs. It’s a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc. ), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc. ), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It’s the best service available at http://officialmbaguide. org.
Online MBA programs specially designed for working professionals and others to finally pursue their goal of getting their degrees and meeting their personal career goals.
My dear Online MBA programs are a popular choice of older adults and mid-career professionals who want to earn a degree without sacrificing their career and family life. Online MBA programs are also becoming a fast favorite of the younger crowd, who are looking for ways to earn a graduate degree while keeping their current employment. Many find that online MBA courses offer a flexibility that can’t be found in traditional schools. If you’re considering earning an online MBA, make sure you do your homework. Knowing the basics will help you make an informed decision about whether or not these programs are right for you.
and Distance learning and traditional MBA programs generally share a similar type of curriculum and can be considered equally difficult (depending, of course, on the particular school). Instead of spending hours in class, online MBA students are expected to dedicate their time to studying independently.
Online curriculum generally consists of lectures, readings, assignments, and participation in online discussions. Some programs also offer multimedia components such as video lectures, podcasting, and videoconferencing. Online MBA students from some programs are expected to physically attend a certain number of courses or workshops in order to acquire residency hours. Required tests can usually be taken with proctors in your own community. Online MBA students don’t spend less time studying than their traditional student counterparts. But, they are given the power to fit their school hours into their own schedules.
If you looking for a degree in management while working in your current job then you have this option called Online degree. Online MBA needs you to fulfill certain criteria and you can purse your degree online while working. . .
There are many colleges offering online degree you can find many source in Google or go to AccountingProgramsU. com

You ask several questions, some of which may still be quite broad – so the answer to this question is, “it depends”.
Further, the answer will vary quite drastically with the given MBA program you’re looking at – so this is something you should evaluate as part of your criteria.
You’ll learn in it, most typically, by some combination of self-review of materials; question/answer/discussion with professors & classmates (e-mail, forums, chat, etc), and group-work/projects with fellow classmates. The specific approach I’m sure may vary by school, but simply-speaking – that should give you a rough idea.
The biggest question in “how it works”, I would argue, is “synchronicity” – Some online MBA programs are more “asynchronous”, and some are “synchronous”. More asynchronous programs would typically not require you to be online at the same time as the teacher or other students – whereas a synchronous program would.
Some of the tools you mentioned – Web-cams, Chat-based – are “synchronous” tools. My “gut feel” (though I have no data to substantiate) is that the majority of programs are “mostly asynchronous” – e. g. e-mail, forum, review of content/learnings, etc – with “some” synchronous requirements – e. g. getting on a live chat, web-cam, or teleconference with your team to do a group project – etc.
I would be very surprised nowadays if any “online MBA” utilized CD’s significantly – most will use online delivery of materials. They may have a commercial or open-source “LMS” (Learning Management System”), or they may have developed their own content delivery system, perhaps using Flash, plain old web pages – etc – this really depends on the school, and is a key point in what you evaluate when debating an online MBA program, or comparing several programs.
Regarding “Do you have to visit some place” – this again depends on the program. Some are 100% online, and do note have any residency requirement. My own advice is that a “small” residency requirement is good (e. g. 1-2 weeks), as it helps give you a feel for the professors and your fellow students.
Let me break it down for you.
Q What is an Online MBA degree?
A Degree which doesnt necessarily need your physical presence. It is best suited for working professionals who do not have the time to visit a institute
Q How do you learn in it
A Various modes depending on the institute. Some offer phone and chat support as well. Some you may need to visit the institute once in a while. Most through video conferencing and chat.
