UNISYS Announces New Leadership for Financial Services Industry in Asia Pacific

Singapore (PRWEB) December 3, 2005

IT services company Unisys announced today that it has appointed Reuben Khoo as Vice President and Managing Director of Global Financial Services, Asia Pacific to lead its overall business in financial services across the Asia Pacific region. He joins Unisys from Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he was responsible for the financial services consulting and integration business for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Reuben is an experienced practitioner in management and technology, with a strong domain focus in financial services. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services market.

“Asia is a diverse and large geography with great opportunities for growth in the financial services industry. Reuben will lead an experienced team in managing the overall growth of the business and ensuring that the best solutions and services are provided to our clients,” said Andrew Barkla, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific.

Reuben, based in Singapore, reports to Dominick Cavuoto, President Global Financial Services, worldwide and is responsible for all sales, products and services for the markets of South Pacific, Asia North and Asia South.

“The Asia Pacific region has been growing significantly, especially in North Asia. Banks and financial institutions are looking at avenues to expand their customer base, increase service offerings, improve overall customer experience, comply with regulatory requirements and at the same time improve their cost competitiveness. All these require financial institutions to be able to run a secure operation and our team is best in doing that and can provide the visibility to achieve these business and technological goals,” said Reuben.

Prior to HP, Khoo was Managing Partner for the Financial Services and Enterprise Technology practices of Andersen Business Consulting and part of the ASEAN management leadership committee. He was also with IBM Global Services leading the overall consulting practice for Financial Services in Southeast Asia. He began his career with Accenture (previously Arthur Andersen) in the US and later in Singapore.

Khoo has a Bachelor of Science degree in business and IT and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, USA.
