Question by adios: the best business schools in US and UK?
i am a student of BCA will complete my graduation by 2009. would like to go for good MBA degree in UK or USA. what are the exact procedure for admission there (entrance exams and all)soon after completing my BCA degree? which is better option based on both aspects of fees and acceptance of the degree. can i get names of few of those good colleges with location? your one kind advice may help me decide good thing for my future. plese help…

For UK, London School of Economics (LSE), Manchester Business School (MBS), Heriot Watt University are all very renowned for their management and MBA courses.
Just a note, if you want to take full benefits of MBA, it is better to be employed and let your employer to finance you through it. When you do case studies, they are more relevant and beneficial to your work.

Most MBA programs are going to want you to have worked, full time, for 1-3 years prior to applying to their program. So you may not get in if you apply directly after your bachelor’s degree.
The best MBA schools in the UK are:
- London Business School
- Oxford
- Cambridge
- U Manchester
In the US, they include:
- Harvard
- Stanford
- U Penn
- MIT
- Northwestern
- U Chicago
- Dartmouth
- U Cal Berkeley
- Columbia
- NYU
I list more elite level MBA programs in the US because there are more elite level programs in the US than in the UK. But the ones I listed in the UK are among the best in the world.
You may also want to look at INSEAD, in France. Another extremely strong program.
For most of these programs, and all those in the US, you must take the GMAT exam. You can take that now – no need to wait. People often do better on this if they take it closer to university graduation. The scores are good for I think 5 years.
