Symmetry Communications Systems Appoints Preston Roper as Vice President of Marketing

San Jose, CA ÂÂ Symmetry Communications, a pioneer in next generation mobile data and voice solutions, today announced the appointment of Preston Roper as Vice President of Marketing.
Mr. Roper will oversee the positioning and marketing of the Company’s products to wireless telecommunications equipment providers, who are enabling mobile voice and Internet services.
An experienced executive, Mr. Roper has significant expertise in strategic marketing, product marketing, alliances, and the development of integrated marketing communications programs. He has worked for several rapid-growth technology companies including NetDynamics (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1998), and Synopsys (1992 IPO).
Mr. Roper held various management positions with these companies, including VP Engineering, senior director of product marketing, director of IT and operations, and director of electronic marketing. Prior to completing his MBA at Stanford, Mr. Roper led strategic programs in Europe with Honeywell Germany and with Stanford University. He has also served as Founder, President and CEO of an Internet applications company, and as Interim COO of an emerging E-business services company.
