exactly how prestigious is the business program at tulane univeristy in New Orleans, LA? I’m thinking of going there for undergrad in finance, would it be a degree that top 20 business schools would respect? basically, if i aspire to go to a top 20 MBA program, would studying finance at Tulane be on the right track? thanks so much

Tulane’s a pretty good school and their business school is equally good.

The key to getting into a Top 20 MBA program is having a great GMAT score and good work experience (promotions, leadership rolls, productive output,etc..). Usually the undergrad school you attended and the grades you receive there are of little importance to MBA admissions committees.

I think that with a Tulane degree, you should be able to land a nice job that’ll give you the solid work experience you’ll need to get into a Top 20 MBA program.
