Try New York State’s Excelsior College. It is accredited and well respected for more info see http://www.excelsior.edu

    The University of Phoenix is not only accedited offering valid degrees, but for many companies in CA, it is the university of preference for employees requiring continuing education.

    While my employers frown on degrees from U Phoenix.

    In general, if you’re considering an online/distance degree, you want to get one that has ties to a reputable brick and mortar school. And that depends on what field you’re looking into. So, for example, Carnegie Mellon offers some online degrees, as does Rensselaer Polytechnic. Both are good schools.
