If I get accepted to Harvard Business School first, would I have a leg up in the application process at Harvard Law School, so that I may pursue a JD/MBA degree.

ps. I know you must apply to each school separately

No not necessarily. Each school looks at your application separately. And in order to do the joint program you have to get accepted into both programs. However, one way that would give you a leg up is if you apply to the JD school first and get accepted. Then during your first semester, you apply for admission into the MBA program. That way, you’ll get great grades in the JD program and would have proven yourself to the school. Or if you feel you have shoe in at the business school apply their first and then once you are admitted during your first semester, apply to the law school.
