Question by Terence: Does anyone have their Master’s in Public Health (MPH) and how beneficial has it been to your career?
I recently graduated with a degree in Business Admin. and currently work for a public health agency. I am seriously considering getting an MPH part time since health care is such a vast and growing industry. How beneficial has it been in the administration field? Also, is there any degrees similar to an MPH that would be more beneficial? I have considered doing an accelerated BSN program but, i’m not sure i want to invest that much more time in getting another bachelor’s degree. Please help! Thanks!!

A graduate degree in a specialized field will give you an edge over your competitors whether it’s a new position or a promotion you are looking for. A master’s in public health will make you more competent for a variety of complex roles in community health, health education, healthcare administration, etc. besides fetching you a bigger pay cheque.
