Question by bada_bing2k4: Could I get accepted into a good MBA program with these grades?
I am completing my BS in Electrical Engineering, a very difficult major, and my GPA is only gonna be around 2.80. But I took the GMAT last week and got a 670. What do you think my chances are of getting accepted into an accredited program if I don’t need any type of aid?
I have work experience as a shift supervisor at CVS, lol. I actually mentioned it to the adviser of the MBA program at my University and she was like “No that really is good, it’s a managerial position so make sure you mention it in your application.”

If your idea of a good program would be a top-20 program, I would have to say no, especially if you are just finishing and don’t have work experience. But if your only concern is that it be accredited, then yes, you can get in to many. I still would advise getting some real work experience first, though.

I wouldn’t be able to encourage you to apply to a top school with your grades, and the GMAT is about average. Schools would expect about a 740 from an engineer.
You shouldn’t apply for an MBA now anyway–all the good programs want 2-4 years of experience before applying. I would find a position where there is room for growth, and do well for a few years as an engineer.
