Question by josnic: Business Administration with Financial Management?
My school only offer Bachelor degree in Business Administration. There are concentration options.. although I want to study more about accounting, sadly the option is not there. The best concentration available is Financial management.
I just would like to know realistically how easy/hard will it be to find jobs? Can I pass CPA test with just these?
Another option is for me to transfer to another school. This other school has Applied Accounting major but the degree they give is “Bachelor of Commerce in Applied Accounting” or “Bachelor of Commerce in Finance”.
Can I take CPA with this school?

The name of the degree doesn’t matter — it is what you learn while there.
If they don’t have a degree in accounting — just take as many accounting classes as you can. When you go for a job, tell them “My school doesn’t have an official concentration in accounting, but I took all of the accounting classes and believe that I am qualified for this position.” They will understand.

Accounting is part of financial management. Financial Management will give you a boarder area of expertise than accounting on its own.
Actually, you can’t even sit for the CPA with only the bachelor’s degrees with few exceptions. Go to http://www.nasba.org to find your specific state requirements, but generally you need at least 30 hours in accounting past the introduction levels, and 150 total hours.
If you want to be an accountant (not a CPA), you can probably get a job with a financial management degree, but I would strongly considering going straight through to a MS Accounting program if you want to be an accountant for your living.
