Question by redhotfirefly: Any online colleges more affordable than Walden?
So far, Walden is the most affordable, with classes at 224 dollars per credit hour, Argosy was like 480 per credit hour, I have no local community colleges that are driving distance from me so, online is a must for a FULL degree program. Does anyone know any school that can top 224 per credit hour? thanks.

I went to ask.com and used this as my search criteria and found a few.
“Online college $ 200 per credit hour”
You could probably type in any amount.
Good luck!

Cheap is fine, so long as the school is also reputable. At a minimum, if you want to be able to use this degree to get a job, or to go on for further education, the college must be regionally accredited. Please do make sure that all the online programs you look at are regionally accredited. I think Walden and Argosy both are.
You should check all the public colleges, state universities, and community colleges in your home state, to see if they offer online degrees. If they do, see how much those are, because those tend to be a reasonably priced option.
One of the lowest cost online programs I’ve seen is the one offered by Southern New Hampshire University. It’s about $ 800 per class. You can check their tuition costs here:
http://www.snhu.edu/249.asp
The State University of New York’s system of community colleges and universities offer degrees online. The cost per credit varies by university, and whether or not your a NY state resident. If you’re in-state NY, you could go to SUNY Albany online, for example, for $ 140/credit. You could go to some of the SUNY community colleges online for $ 120/credit in-state, and for anywhere from $ 120/credit to about $ 250/credit out of state. You can check out their fee schedule here:

And the degrees they offer online here:

And again, check your home state’s public universities, colleges, and community colleges. You could get a lower tuition rate because you’re in-state, even though you’re doing the degree online.
