Pappas Group Launches New Site for Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies

Mc Lean, VA (PRWEB) April 29, 2010

Pappas Group, a full service creative agency, recently redesigned the entire Web site for the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies to reflect the rebrand and strategy Pappas planned and executed for the university last year. The overall objective was to create a more cohesive experience on the site and promote the School’s brand as a whole, while also providing clear paths to the specific content that prospective students would be seeking.

The School of Continuing Studies at Georgetown offers bachelor, master, and doctoral degree programs in Liberal Studies, seven Master of Professional Studies degree programs, professional education certificates and courses, custom and corporate education, and summer programs for undergraduate and high school students. The rebranding effort was focused on highlighting the degree programs and offerings while maintaining their unique features and ensuring they are recognizable within the School identity. The new Web site reflects the implementation of this concerted brand, which spans across all programs.

“We were excited to continue working with Georgetown faculty and administrators in developing a web presence that would successfully parallel with the rebrand and marketing initiatives,” says Anthony Pappas, President and Founder of Pappas Group. “The new site takes on the refreshed look and feel of the School of Continuing Studies and its individual departments, while creating an engaging user experience.”

Separate sections of the new Web site allow students, faculty and alumni to connect with each other, and the site promotes events within the thriving School of Continuing Studies community while also providing prospective students with a glimpse of what they can expect from the Georgetown experience.

Functionality and usability also play significant roles in the redesigned elements of the Web site. The new site structure is designed to give users more direct paths to the content they are seeking and provide insight into all aspects of the School of Continuing Studies — from current students, to faculty and alumni.

”For many web users, our Web site provides a close and intimate first impression of our School and its many offerings,” says Robert L. Manuel, Dean of the School of Continuing Studies at Georgetown. “The result of the collaborative effort with Pappas, to make our website more user-friendly and attractive, was an award-winning success.”

The rebranding of Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies was recognized in the 2010 REBRAND 100® Global Awards, which recognizes excellence in brand repositioning and represents more than 36 industries and 29 countries. The international panel of judges review “before” and “after” images of brand transformations with written summaries. Pappas-designed print pieces for the School also received four 2010 Marketing & Publications Awards from the University of Continuing Education Association.
