need help with major?

Question by V: need help with major?
i just recently found out that i dont have to be a business admin major (for bachelors) to get an MBA. now im angry and confused. im thinking of pulling out of BA and get into engineering. i only wasted a semester worth of classes so its not that bad for a 2 year transfer plan, right?

but before that, does engineering, in general include a lot of math? i dont like math, but i love making electronics. should i stay with business? is computer science a good alternative?
also, which job in the market is in high demand? thanx, please answer in detail.

Engineering is very much in demand, but yes, you need a lot of math. At least through Calculus III and differential equations. There’s a lot of physics in there as well, and computer science. You still need calculus to understand electronics. You haven’t lost much time, but if you’re not ready to take calculus, you’ll lose time catching up.

Both Computer Science and Engineering/Electronics will require a good knowledge of math(Advanced Calc and such).

If you would like to study Computer Science but avoid math, major in Information Systems. Information Systems is Computers and Business.

Good Degree, Great Money after Graduation.

IF you want to get an MBA after you Information Systems major, your jobs prospects will be anything within Computer Leadership including Chief Information Officer. Which is a top coporate job comparable to CEO with a 6 figure salary guarenteed.

I would do Information Systems. Seriously Think about it.

“Does engineering, in general include a lot of math?”

Thanks for providing me with a good a laugh. I’m surprised that there is anyone who does not know the answer to this question.

Yes — Engineering involves a lot of math — almost as much as what a Math major takes.

    So does Computer Science.

As for your question about which jobs are in demand — the answer is that today very few jobs are in demand. But by the time you graduate, demand for engineers and business majors should be higher again.
