   Yes it is accredited. My father is doing the MBA program it is time consuming but he seems to be enjoying it.

   It is disdained by people in academia and in business.

   The University of Phoenix – Online is a joke ——a VERY EXPENSIVE very LUCRATIVE joke.

   Be careful – just about every college is accredited by somebody, but some accreditations are respected, and others are not. I’m willing to bet that the University of Phoenix would tell you that they are accredited, but their accreditation is from the Higher Learning Commission (which is not the same organization which accredits most respected universities overall; we are accredited by regional accreditors) and a few other small organizations. For the MBA, you would want to go to a school accredited by AACSB, and the University of Phoenix is NOT accredited by them.

   Do the right thing-go to a real school-sure it’s harder-but it is the RIGHT thing for you and your future.

   I would be embarassed to possess a degree from UoP.

   The “University” of Phoenix has no standing in the academic world whatsoever. . . . nor do any of the learning institutions that have to advertise on TV to attract students. Anyone who expects anything good to come of a degree/diploma from UofP is going to be disappointed.
