Question by Lois Griffin: Is “Master’s of Business Administration” a science degree?
I have a “Master’s of Business Administration.”
I see a job that says “MS Required.”
Can I just add the word “Science” in there?
So it reads: “Master’s of Science in Business Administration.”
Is a business degree also considered a science degree?
“Communications” is considered an Art’s degree.
Doesn’t the same way work with “business” being a “science” degree?
I know there are some schools that offer a degree called “Master’s of Science in Business Administration.”
So isn’t that the same thing as my MBA?

It’s only a science degree if it was matriculated as such. You don’t have a Master of Science degree, you have an MBA.
If you decide to change the wording, understand that it would be a lie, and thus if the employer checks your credentials, you will be denied the job.
That being said, you might as well apply for the job anyway (without lying). Who knows, you might get lucky.

Business is a grey area. I’ve seen undergrad Business programs offered more commonly as BA degrees, but I’ve seen BS degrees too. But that’s not the point.
The point is that you can’t just change the type of degree you have. For all I know, there probably is a university somewhere that offers a “Master of Science in Business Admin”…but you didn’t go to that university, and you didn’t earn that degree. You earned an MBA, and it would be dishonest to tell an employer anything otherwise.

There is a Master’s of Science in Business Administration, even more so if related to computer Sciences. However I wouldn’t recommend altering the name of your degree, because some employers may not accept
Hope this helps that.
