I have a BA in international affairs and an MBA in international business and finance. Can I become a CPA?

What are the requirements in NYS. I tried to look on the Board website but it is a little confusing.

anyone who meets the NYS education requirements can sit for the CPA exam. These are explained on the website.

however, that isn’t enough in NY — you also need to meet the experience requirement and do that by working in a CPA firm under the direction of a licensed in NY [or similar] CPA.

this means you have to get a job in the industry and successfully keep it while accumulating the experience.

As long as you have 24 units of accounting classes and have the necessary experience requirements (normally 2 years working under a CPA), yes you can.
