I am thinking of Majoring in Business Management and Minoring Finance. Is that a good idea? ?

Or should I major in Marketing and Minor in Business Management. I feel so confuse with my career choice. I know I want to get into the business industry but i’m not sure what area as of yet. Serious answers please. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I would major in marketing and management. I have my degree in management, and its tough to find a job unless you get an internship somewhere. Also, my teachers in college always told us that management is useless unless you have another degree to go with it. So personally, I would stick with the marketing major.

Everybody has a Business Management degree. Go with marketing, it may give you more options and make you more appealing.
Your best option would be to major in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance or even major in marketing. Eventually get yourself an MBA. The reason why Business Management is a bad idea is because you are getting a very broad education that won’t fine tune any business knowledge so it is not as respected. Don’t worry about the particular field of employment because with a BSBA degree there will be a number of options available to you the key is to have an open mind you could end up being a business analyst, a teacher, an accountant, a corporate lawyer (if you go to law school) a health care administrator as long as your degree is relevant to the job you are seeking.
Personally I hated marketing and management. That being said I am a double major in finance and and management. Get a business degree in something that makes you a little bit more appealing to businesses. If you get a minor in management or marketing you will know the basics just as well as if you major. In finance you don’t learn much with a minor. A major in finance will teach you some interesting things.
