i want to know that during this year i will be working with a law firm and i could also get a job in an IT company because i have certain diplomas.So which job should i pick that would help in getting through MBA. Can this requirement of work experience be set aside? for now i have no work experience and will be taking the GMAT next year

Most MBA programs indicate that they want students with some work experience, but the fact is, most of them accept students right out of college. You are already ahead because you will have a graduate degree. A year of work with a law firm or IT company will also help. But what counts most when you apply to an MBA program is your GPA and your GMAT score.

Some schools offer MBA programs specifically for students with little or no work experience. The Roy Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College is one of these. www.rollins.edu. It is an excellent private school with highly rated MBA programs.

As a law student, you would probably benefit more by working for a law firm. By the way, a combination of law degree and MBA is excellent. Go for it.
