  1. The Big Shot

First of all you need really good grades in college, a good GMAT score, and 4-6 years work experience. You sound very young. Concentrate first on studying hard and getting into a good college.

    Get good grades.
Get good recommendation from your prof.
    Get good score at Gmat.
Extra curricular activities that show an aptitude to business.
    Social activities – social work.
Sports – be on the top.
Preferably 4-5 years experience in the industry where the employers are prepared to give good references about you.

Then, do well in the interview at the college.

Not easy but it can be done. People have done that.
You may strive for scholarship if you can offer all this.

there is a difference between “admission” and “tuition. ”

no one gets “free admission” into a university, let alone an MBA program. you apply like everyone else, and it speaks very highly if you can get into the top program (im not sure what the #1 program is, but im guessing its Harvard, NYU or UPenn). but like the person above me said, most programs are looking for someone with work experience (at least 2 years at a firm), and a decent undergrad transcript). so if you are still an undergraduate or a recent grad, they you should focus on the job than getting the MBA. it will always be there, and will not be of any value to you without any work experience to compliment the degree.

now, for free tuition, that’s the money aspect. the only way i know about getting tuition paid for is if your company pays for it. this requires the following:

    1. having worked for a top-notch firm that is willing to cover the cost
    2. you having already been accepted to the program (companies tend to have affiliations with schools, but they dont assist in admission processes)
    3. competing against co-workers for the opportunity to have the company pay for you (read: proving you’re worth it)
    4. passing all your classes with an B or higher (that wouldnt look good anyway, to get lower than a B in post-undergraduate school anyway. sometimes B’s arent even looked at greatly)
    5. having to stay with the company for X years after you complete your program (anywhere from 6 months – 5 years. they dont want you jumping ship after you finish your degree, they want to keep you as talent).

does this help? give me some points then!
