From what I’ve heard a masters in engineering = big bucks, no if’s and’s or but’s. See if you can get some internships during summer and work under professors helping them on research or w/e you can do and you will be set. GL

Be a confident person with any of your plan, Confidence means success, solve much practical questions. Change of plans will
make you confused and nobody likes the confused man. So once you decided that is best in the world just do it.
There is definitely a shortage of Elect. Engineers in Australia.
some Engineers are earning in excess of $ 120.00 p/hr. (AUD).
you have 2 choices for big money
1. Work Hard
2. Get Lucky
1. (in detail) I work as a controls and instrumentation engineer for gas turbines. If you want to jump in and start making a good wage the best chance you have is as a field engineer.
This means you get sent all over the world and work like a madman. 12 hour shifts 7 days a week for 2-3 months at a time. You have all accomodation paid for, you get daily living allowances for food and drink ($ 50-$ 60 a day) and you get OVERTIME. I work in an office mostly but have been sent into the field. My basic salary was $ 40,000, but after overtime and bonuses I made $ 60,000 while doing 1.5 months that year in the field. I have only been with my company a year at the time.
The guys that work in the field full-time must earn at least 100k-120k each year but it is HARD work.
2. (in detail) You may be able to get a position as an executive in a business. However this just will not happen straight out of university unless you have friends/family in a position to give you a post (nepatism). Other than that you have to work in a company for a long time and beat out the competition consistently AND the man at the top has to like you. This is why I say you have to be lucky.
Good luck with your future.
