How come you can go from Diploma to BS and not Diploma to MBA?

How come we can skip AS when we go to BS?

Is it possible to work on BA and MBA from to different schools as long as they allow it?

This is the order in which people earn these degrees:

    1) High School Diploma or G. E. D.
    2) Associates Degree (A. A. , A. S. , A. A. S. ), optional
    3) Bachelors Degree (B. A. , B. S. , B. B. A. , B. U. S. )
    4) Masters Degree (M. A. , M. S. , M. B. A. )
    5) Doctorate Degree (M. D. , J. D. , Ph. D. , Ed. D. , Psy. D. )

Since the associates degree is half of the coursework of the bachelors degree, it is optional. Many students opt to continue their education and elect not to take their associates diploma. Other students, especially if they have a break in the education, opt to take this diploma and participate in the graduation ceremony.

It is not possible to work on a B. A. and M. B. A. at the same time because the latter degree course work is more advanced than the B. A. courses. It would be better to work on one degree at a time.

Hope this helps you. Best wishes.
