im looking at mba programs in ny now. obviously columbia and nyu are good choices. fordham is decent too – and i think they have a joint law / mba program which is quite a valuable degree. . . .
The top MBA programs in NY are:
1) Columbia
2) NYU
I also like Fordham, but it doesn’t have as much cache as that of Columbia or NYU. And the one at Columbia is head-and-shoulders above the one at NYU. The one at Columbia is right up there with the big guys.
Most MBA Programs in NY are good. But the real question is “what is good for you?” You may want to think about:
*tuition cost – what kind of budget are you working with
*public vs private
*program type: full time / part time/ executive
*on-campus vs off campus housing
*size – % of applicants accepted
*gmat score / gpa of accepted applicants
*number of years of work experience of accepted applicants – some schools prefer that you have work experience (that’s really what the resume part of the application is about)
*reputation and actual success rates of graduates in securing a position.
You said New York. Did you mean NY City or NY State?
Below is a list of schools with MBA Programs in NY state. To find the best school for you I suggest using the Princeton Review’s search tool at http://www. princetonreview. com/mba/research/advsearch/match. asp
You may also want to attend an MBA Forum event where you can attend seminars on choosing a school as well as speak directly to representatives from the schools that interest you
