WGU is an online teaching degree program I think. I can’t find out that much info. Has anyone heard of it? Know someone in it? Or know of any online teaching degree programs in NC?

I have a post-bacc degree in elementary teaching from WGU. It was an excellent program for me because I was able to work at my own pace (I wanted to accelerate it), yet had the convenience of working out of my home if the kids were sick, etc… I was living in Colorado when I went through their program and was licensed there. I have since moved to Vermont and was easily able to be licensed here! I thought it was a less expensive alternative to many schools and it is accredited. (If you are looking at online programs, be sure to check that part out!!)

I wrote lots of papers, I had frequent contact with my mentor, I came to know several people in my class via email & I actually met some in person even though we were from all over the country! If you go to WGU’s website, you can have an enrollment counselor call you (or they have an 800 #). You will find them to be very knowledgeable and friendly.
