Full Sail University Graduates Design Seito Sushi Expansion in Baldwin Park
Winter Park, FL (Vocus) February 24, 2010
Full Sail University (http://www.fullsail.edu)] is proud to recognize two graduates who have turned their knowledge of design to the restaurant industry. Jason and Sue Chin graduated from the Digital Arts & Design Bachelor of Science Degree Program in 2001 and 2002 respectively, and decided to use their newly developed skill sets to design an expansion of Japanese sushi restaurant, Seito Sushi, located in Baldwin Park, Orlando, which originally opened in 2005.
The graduates used their talents to design a rendering of the new dining area using programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D Studio Max. Recently, the Chins added an additional 1,400 square-feet to their original restaurant to expand into the newly developed area which now includes a lounge, bar, and an additional 400 square-feet of extra dining space. The new area is able to seat an extra 60 seats of diners.
âI have always had an appreciation for the arts, and Full Sail helped me to develop an eye for design,â said Jason Chin. âHaving the opportunity and the know-how to complete an expansion project such as this has truly been an experience that would have been much more difficult if Full Sail hadnât taught us how to be proficient with these programs.â
âThis is a perfect example of how the Digital Arts & Design Bachelor of Science Degree Program can be so diversified,â said Eric Rosenfeld, Program Manager of Digital Arts and Design and Graphic Design. âIt is inspiring to see graduates who were able to develop a career outside the immediate industry and use their education to further benefit their growing restaurant. It truly demonstrates to current and students that their design background knows no boundaries.â
