First things first -- University of Phoenix is not a "regular institution. " It is a For Profit corporation.

Second -- these For Profit institutions will accept nearly anyone, are not respected by employers. The University of Phoenix is particularly bad. They were recently fined a record $9. 8MM for sleazy recruiting practices. Companies like Intel refuse to pay for their employees to take classes there, because they lack rigor. Many corporations refuse to even consider hiring graduates from these schools. The average starting salary for their graduates is ten to twenty thousand a year less than those who go to respectable schools.

Don't even think about getting a degree at a For Profit school.
