harvard and stanford = about 700 GMAT
for MBA ,most of the unies prefer GMAT over GRE….they give out an avg GMAT score based on the avg score of the past accepted students….its generally above 700….but to make it you need to score well above 700, say 730 to 770…basically in 90th or above percentile…but remember GMAT is just one of the requirements for admission….good GMAT score wont guarantee you an admission…your academic background, undergraduate GPA, essay, letter of reco…they all play equal part in the admission process…and when going for GMAT…don’t neglect the writing portion…ETS sends ur essay to the school along with ur GMAT score…..and i am sure u don’t wanna bomb ur chances just coz of ur GMAT essay
well….as far as GRE goes i guess the range starts from 1100 or 1200….its good if u can score around 1500…but if u wanna go for MS finance or accounting…sit for GMAT
