Question by Danimal: Do you think this is a valid reason to get a Master’s Degree?
I was thinking I might want to get my MBA. Here is one reason that sounds very appealing to me. As a graduate with an MBA I can teach undergraduate studies. First I may start as a professor at a community college and just see where that takes me. The point is I will pursue work experience with a company but if I get tired of corporate America I have something to fall back on such as teaching. The great thing is you can go from career to teaching, to career and so on. What do you think?

I think it’s a great idea. And these days, having an MBA sets you apart from many others in the field applying for the same position, as well as boosts up your salary a good deal. Definitely go for it. It’s always nice having a safety net for whatever life is going to throw at you. And an MBA is one of those Master’s programs that is worth having.
As a side note though, you are absolutely right about continuing to get work experience because without it, many companies won’t hire you, just because you have an MBA. Assuming you wanted to stay in corporate America but looking to go up the corporate ladder.
4 year colleges ONLY hire people with PhDs. Community colleges require teaching experience, usually at another CC and also prefer PhDs but will hire master degree people, but they dont pay much.
