probably not. you should take AP courses in core subjects (english, math, history, etc) and stay away from specialized AP courses as most colleges will only give you advanced credit for the basics. you are usually required to take the more advanced classes (i.e. programming, etc) at the college.

Not too much, if at all. You want to do AP bio or chem for a medical or pharmacutical degree. Often, pharmacutical degrees are more challenging than medical, at least in the first few years. Good luck.

Well, it’s a challenging course. Colleges like that. Doesn’t really transfer over to any of the degrees you mentioned.

Still, it’s not going to be much help. Certainly won’t look as nice as an AP science class for med or pharmacy. If there’s an AP Econ, that would be better for business school. Even AP Calculus would be better for business school.

One AP class isn’t going to help enough to really get you into a better college.

The strange thing is, all the degrees you mentioned are grad degrees. You go to college first. They really don’t care too much about what classes you took in high school. If you do the normal college first route, they won’t even ask what you took in high school.

Now, if you’re applying to the rare programs in med, pharmacy, or business that take you straight out of high school, then yes, they’ll look at it, but it’s not the best class to take. It’d just be any other random AP class that would give you a weighted grade and possibly some college credit, but that’s about it.

If you don’t love Computer Science and are only thinking about doing it to impress colleges, then don’t take it. You wouldn’t be doing yourself a favor.
