Hello everybody,

At first I would like to mention that I will be a Hult MIB student at the London Campus beginning his master program this September.
But since I have not been, an actual Hult student, my position is pretty similar to those who are looking for a business-school and my statement can be considered objective.

What I really don’t understand about most of you guys/girls is why you rely on the opinions of a few people, who post their personal opinion in this thread, instead of establishing your own opinion. I have counted about 1o different members (positive and negative) which posted their opinion.
Hult offers 8 different programs in 5 different cities around the world. I don’t have the numbers but I think it is safe to assume an average program size of about 50 people (very conservative estimation). This gives roughly 2000 students which start every year. So using the opinions of only very FEW students in an totally ANONYMOUS forum is not the way a postgraduate students should handle this decision. (my personal opinion)

Nevertheless I am totally aware that finding a postgraduate B-School is quite challenging and the opinion of others a greatly appreciated. But seriously 10/2000 in an anonymous forum.....I was also contacted by Hult based on my GMAT results and I was not sure what to think about this university and if I should apply.

Therefore I started trying to figure out the university by myself (AND THIS IS WHAT I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST TO EVERYBODY ELSE):

1. Of course I started by looking at the different rankings of well-respected Business Magazines/ blogs etc. (which is also the main usp of Hult) I personally would consider them quite objective since they have no intention to misrepresent (positively or negatively) Hult.
Unfortunately these are not always reliable. Some use very very "interesting" techniques in calculating the ranking. (see the changes between in the ranking year 2010 to 2011 of the economist). Some others rely on data, like percentage of employment and salary, which are provided by Hult or Hult Alumni. I wouldn’t trust these data.

2.What you can do, which is by the way very reliable, is to take a look at the accreditations by the different governmental institutions . They have to meet certain criteria which are not provided by Hult. And since Hult is accredit in all most of the relevant institutions it cannot be a scam. http://www.hult.edu/en/about-hult/accreditations/

3.Another issue is the faculty fortunately we are living in the 21th century and everybody has internet and Google. So I started to check out the staff (every single one!!!), I checked their publications, if they really were also Professors at Harvard, Wharton, Cambridge, member of the Greece financial advisory board etc.

I did not find a single faculty member which did not meet the description provided by Hult.

And they are all really impressive chairman of the ECEB, CEOs, deputy GMs, CFOs, members of various consultant boards and as mentioned Harvard, Cambridge etc. professors.

Almost all of them work part time at Hult which I do not consider a disadvantage but this is just common practice. If you don’t believe me feel free to check again.
http://www.hult.edu/en/about-hult/meet-our-people/faculty-team/

This was one of the main reasons for me to apply at Hult (and not the reason of some angry student).

4.And last but not least I attended one of the open house days in London.
I did this mainly because I have read in another forum that the pictures of the Dubai campus do not represent reality.

I visited the campus, both the old and the brand new one. And I can ensure everybody, the location is real it is really great. The house is beautiful and especially the new campus is amazing.
Again if you don’t believe me feel free to check yourself.
Next open house day is, as far as I know, at the 15.or 16. June.
I also talked to several current and former students. And they answered all my questions in detail and did not seem to be set up by Hult, they even talked extensively about several disadvantages. I also met a couple of perspective students, who I stayed in contact with, who applied but unfortunately at the end did not get accepted. Just to inform you that not everybody gets accepted.

I can just again strongly encourage you do not trust the statements in this/any other forum but establish your own opinion.

I am sure Hult is not the gold standard but it is definitely a good and decent university and far far far away from a scam.

Best Regards

And Mr. ABC if you expect to be handed over a job after graduation you should not join a Business-School but should rather join a fraternity.

Its a crap B School led by Stephen Hodges. No brand value and career service is full of dumbos who will help you to make resumes and cover letter but have no connections in the industry. Few of such names are Sunil Baby, Chris Tester, Kelli (Dubai Campus), Caroline (Boston campus). I am a graduate of Hult and it was painful for me to get a job. Big time NO!!

Can you please share any successful experiences with the university? What has changed about the university from 2011 to 2012? What kind of scholarships are they offering? How difficult is it to get it? Some of comments mentioned that this university is not well known, well, my question is in which countries it is not well known(UK,USA,China or AE)? Besides MBA, how are other master degrees like International Business? Do you find it a good opportunity for people who don't live in these countries and want to enter the job market there?

Hult is a decent school. Not as good as they may seem, but not as bad as some people here try to make it look because they didn't use their opportunities properly and landed in shit jobs. "Not all that glitters is gold" definitely sums it up for me. The London campus is in a great location though, and a lot of the students are cool. It's fun, but not an elite school yet.

Thanks a lot you guys. I got a call too and these people do seem really desperate. They're gonna call me again for a phone interview tomorrow, not sure what will I say but there's no way I'm going to Hult. I have no idea how these people even got my number. Big big scam.

Tony, Ilean, WallofChina, and Al Capone are correct. This school is a scam. They don't care about the students. They don't help you find a job. They take your money upfront and leave you out to dry. The MBA is worthless as no one has ever heard of them. And all they care about is promoting their brand. They lie about EVERYTHING when recruiting you: housing, financial aid and the return you will get on your investment when you graduate. It is an unsustainable scam and I am confident that the true nature of this school's administration will be revealed for all future and prospective students. They do just enough to look good in the rankings. All show and no substance. Future students should stay away from this school.
