I am afraid that I will have to do 3 more years in Business Administration so that I could do MBA. So, I would like to know does the Masters in Computer Science help me in a certain way? or, it is considered as if I did nothing in the past 5 years?

You do not have to have a bachelor’s in business to get an MBA at any school I’m aware of. My bachelor’s is in computer engineering – friends at school have degrees in CS, French literature, political science, law, everything I can think of.

I am a mechanical engineer and i wanted to know that which one is better for me. Doing an MBA or simply getting a masters of Engineering management, or both. Or should i do M.Sc in any other subject of mechanical engineering and then do MBA…. i am confused… please help me.

I am a electrical engineer. I currently finished my MSEE. I does not make a lot of different other than I learn a lot more. But as you know it can hardly apply to your career.
I would recommend MS in engineering management. As we are engineering, if you do become a manager or a project manager or ……, you will manage engineering stuff not finance, marketing ….
I know you will still learn those in your MS in engineering management but not that focus.
I would say just go for your MS in engineering management.

SO you are going to complete your BCS and start with a Masters degree just after?
What kind of experience in work / life do you have?
If i were in your place, i’d work -even toil – for a few years after my BCS before deciding whether a Masters degree is worth it at all or not. And then i’d choose whether an MCS or an MBA would be better suited to me, based on where my career has taken me.
But then, you are an adult individual, so your decision is sovereign. You decide.

I will have a BA in Quantitative Economics and Mathematics. The question is, would a PhD even be useful at my age? Or would the MBA from a ‘reputable-non-ivy’ program be better. The goal is to get to where my predecessors (those who graduated from college when I should have) are now–in rank and salary. Or is it even possible? All of this is assuming I have a strong work ethic.

Get the PhD if at all possible.

There are too many unemployed, or under employed MBA credentialed people in the labor pool trying to scarf up jobs…

I’m thinking about getting a JD/MBA but do not know what would be the best route. I have heard some say that going into a special JD/MBA program saves a year and gets you a very good job. Others tell me that you need work experience to get the MBA, so you’re better going for the JD first, doing your two years of work, then getting the MBA. Thoughts?

If it is at a top university, the combined program is better. You only have to be admitted once and do not need to have work experience for many combined programs.

i hav scored 24.20..i think its out of 40…the chances of getin good coll is very less..we should hav scored above 30 atleast…
