   Hi.
   Yes there are some disadvantages of distance learning course, which can create problem in your studies. Like distance learning not gives the same environment like traditional classes, it does not give opportunity to work on communication skills, high fees, and many more.    Hey ! am on distant learning by interenet now. . . The biggest disadv. i see is that i miss real class ]: students, anoying teachers. . . U kno skool life is a part of our life. . . Everything else is fine, i am cheatin on xams, coz i can look up in tha book or smthin lol
   But u kno if u have active life, lots of otha frends – i guess its ok then. . . But really i dnt think there are any serious probs as u think. . . [:

   Communication. Whether it’s with classmates or the professor. You miss the social aspect of face to face conversation. It is also difficult and more time consuming to have any open debate or group discussion through e-mail or message boards.

   I would not personally take any Fine Arts or Social Science classes on-line because the input of the group and resulting discussion is often an important part of the experience and learning process.

   It depends also on your own motivational and organizational tendencies. I, for example, procrastinate and end up getting behind when I don’t have regular classes and deadlines. In the last on-line course I took, I ended up having to complete half a semester’s work in the last two weeks.

   Ultimately you just need to be disciplined. On-line didn’t work for me, but it’s great for some. Just make sure you assess your learning style, and your ability to self regulate honestly and accurately before taking the classes. Bad grades tend to stick with you throughout your college career, so take care and make sure that you don’t get in over your head.
