Question by Abbey: can a psych. major go to grad school for anything?
If i attained a psychology undergrad. degree, could i enter an MBA program or an Advertising graduate program? What other options do i have? Do many graduate programs in business and communications accept a diverse pool of majors? thanks!!

I think that after you have a Bachelor’s degree, you can get a Master’s in what ever you want.

A psych major would be perfect for advertising because you need to know how the public thinks and how to manipulate them (sad but true). Check out the requirements for the MBA programs, but I think most schools feel that the more diverse, the better. Psychology is probably something that would get bonus points because you deal with statistics and have to deal with advanced theories and language skills.

Yeah, you can…but you may be put in as a conditional student…I was put in to a psychology program as a Ph.D. student as a conditional student…I had to pass like 9 classes before I was fully admitted.

Yes, you can do anything after your undergrad that you want. As a psych major applying for something like dental school or med school you will just have to take the pre-requisites but major will not hold you back from getting accepted to any type of program.
You can not transfer to a Masters in Engineering or Computer Science, but you can go for your MBA.
You can go in as a CLinical Pyschologists a Reserch Pscyhologitst a Media Pyscholigst, and Educational Psychologist.
