Question by L: Best university for a masters in education?
I am currently at a state university and completing my BS in Political science. I want to then go on for my Masters in Education and I want to go to the best school possible. My GPA is high and I have a bunch of extras on my resume so I am really looking for a university with a great reputation. Any suggestions? Education k-8

The best for Elementary Education are:
Michigan State
U Wisconsin Madison
Columbia Teachers College
U Georgia
Ohio State
UVA (Curry)
Vanderbilt (Peabody)
Note: Columbia is ranked 3rd on that list, but I think it has the best reputation and is the most well-known for its Masters program in Education.
One thing to consider, L, is the type of environment you want. Some schools of Ed are more leaning to the left or right than others. Ask about that when you explore schools. (I say, Go UMass!)
