The bachelor’s degree is a four-year undergraduate degree. The master’s degree (MBA) is a graduate degree which requires a bachelor’s degree for admission to the program. Many MBA programs are open to students who did not earn the bachelor’s degree in business. Some MBA programs require two or three years of business experience after the bachelor’s degree for admission. Most full time MBA programs take about two years to complete. Depending on the area of business in which a person concentrates and on the prestige of the particular MBA program, the MBA may offer great opportunities for promotion and advancement in a career.
