Question by me: Am I going to get a good job after graduating with an MBA in US ?
I’m a foreigner , going to do my MBA in US ,and I’d love to work and live there after I graduate.
I will finish my MBA after 2 years ,and I’m involved generally in Finance.
Do you think I’ll be able to find a good job once I graduate ? I’m going to graduate from Connecticut State.
Also, I’d like to know if I can get a permanent residence visa if I have secured a job and being a US graduate once I graduate ?
Thank you
Note: The university is well accreditted and old as well.
Note: I’m doing general MBA not specialized in Finance, but I have Finance and other business backgrounds as well.

In todays job market you may have difficulty in finding a job. In order to obtain permanent
residence through employment you would have have an employer willing to petition for you.

I would say an MBA in Finace is going to make it very difficult to find a job. I guess you didn’t catch the fact that there was a huge number of financial services companies that went bankrupt and layed off thousands of people with the same degree. So even if you were an American, you would be competing against all of these experienced applicants…and the fact they would have to pay to sponsor a visa for you makes it even tougher.
So, unless it is from an Ivy League school, I would say you are going to have a very hard time.
If I was you and your main goal is to live an work in the US, you really need to do your research in the different MBA areas and find which ones are in demand.
If you can find a job your employer will have to sponsor your work visa. But as you know, the job market is very tight in the US at the moment. You can hope that the economy settles by the time you graduate. Sadly there are MBAs with actual job experience delivering pizza right now just to have some kind of an income.
As you already know–once you have finished your education you can not adjust your status and you must return to your country of origin.
The only way you would be able to remain in the States upon completion of your studies would be to have a sponsored employer, and at this point in time–I think this would be difficult for you to obtain.
Who knows what it is going to be like in 2 years once you graduate, but the likelihood of you being permitted to remain once your education is complete is not very good.
