If the student becomes lazy or does not have the initiative to learn, then studying online may not an effective method of learning.
Lack of human interaction. In a traditional classroom setting, a student can greatly improve socialization and self-confidence. Studying online may be different. Since classes are conducted over the internet, communications will take place through chat message, message boards, or video and teleconferences. Of course, it is a different kind of interaction from a traditional class.
